Grams

I need to take a minute and talk about a wonderful lady.

My husband's grandmother (grams) in Arkansas passed away last week.

Grams, as a young woman. So beautiful, and so very classy.

She was a big part of his life, and helped raise him when his parents could not. 

She loved her family, friends, and poking around in the garden. This lady was the guru of social graces and customs. She had a full table laid out every day, full meals cooked, and her home was lovely. We moved to the El Paso area two years ago, and were finally within driving distance to her. 12 hours was a hard drive, but it was great to see her more often. She got to show my teenager how to cook, how to lay out a table, and about being a good hostess. She got to chat with Ava, and was so very proud of my husband. 

We will miss her deeply. 

We love you Grams!

Friday Favorites

Hey there cool kids! Time for a few of my favorite things!!

1. Scrub the lips

elf: lip exfoliating stick. Rub this on, let it sit for a minute...then wipe off with a warm wet wash cloth. Super cheap for $3 elf.com (most Target stores carry this)

2. No clumps, please!

So, I am a fan of Mally mascara. While I love it, sometimes I need a cheaper version if I run out. This is absolutely awesome. NO clumps, awesome brush, and nice lashes in the end. No fake spider looking lashes here! $6 at most drug stores/super centers

3. Strappy sandals!

Anthropologie has awesome sandals. This one is the Madison, and is $158 on Anthropologie.com

4. HOOT!!

WHOOO wouldn't want this awesome cookie jar on their counter! $31 at Pier One.com

5. Carry on.

This is an awesome book. Glennon is witty, hilarious, and so deep...this book will have you laughing so hard and then sobbing during a hard part. Seriously, go pick it up. $18 at Target

Crazy

Yes. Crazy sums up my day. Let me just show you...in photos.

YES. This is what my Monday was like. For real. 

Holy cow. I am done. Totally done. 

Here is the thing...I never act like that. Like, I never yell and hit things. This woman infuriated me. She almost took off my mirror, not to mention almost sideswiped my entire car. Grrr. I feel out of control. Seriously. I wanted to rip her hair out. 

Wow, I am reading this and thinking about how crazy I sound. BAHAHA.... Today was just bad. I am better now. Ava girl snuggled up with me and is giving me kisses all over my face. <3 p="">
